50 Romantic Things to Do for Valentine's Day

No matter how in love you are, everyone can use a little help in the romance department! Romance is something that no successful love relationship can do without. Unfortunately, too often, a lack of ideas and creativity destroy a relationship or leave it stagnant, and couples lose the excitement and passion that once enveloped them.

There's nothing like finding that special someone and spending quality time building a romantic, meaningful and lasting relationship. Whether you are dating, engaged or married, any one of the following ideas is guaranteed to add a little spark to your relationship! Some of these suggestions may seem like the perfect thing a man might do for his lover, but ladies, if he isn't being romantic, take the initiative!

1) Midnight Picnic. Plan a midnight picnic under the stars. Get a picnic basket and fill it with goodies and aphrodisiacs. Bring a tape player and play romantic music while you eat, and save a song or two for dancing.

2) Serenade. Have your lover serenaded. If you can't sing, hire someone who can, and hire a couple of musicians, or better yet, survey your friends and find out who can sing and play the guitar or a violin. A serenade is especially sweet on an anniversary, a birthday or any special occasion. Capture it on video camera if you can so you two can relive the memory again and again.

3) Week of Poetry. For one week, write your lover special poems and have them delivered to his work, or leave them in strategic places in his home. Even if you think you can't write, try it. It will mean more to your lover if you write what you feel rather than using someone else's words.

4) Love Trail. Go out to the woods and leave love clues on a trail. Instead of an Easter Egg Hunt, plan a Romantic Love Hunt. Then, take your lover out and lead him to the first clue and make sure each surprise is better than the last!
